Artists take home honors from CCAC’s 2D3D regional exhibit

A multitude of artists were honored during the opening reception of the Clinton County Arts Council’s 2D3D Regional Juried Exhibit on Friday which was sponsored Lauren and Steve Mcdonald of the Wealth Factory. Above, first place went to Anni Matsick for her watercolor piece “Dreamscape with Rabbit.”Above, at right, second place was awarded to Steve Bower for a clay and steel sculpture titled “Guardian.” Below, at right, Jennifery Shuey took third place with a pastel piece named “Willow Reflections at Tallyrand Park.” Fourth place was given to Linda Hale with a sager fired clay piece called “Spinal Tap.” Three other awards were given out during the event including lynne becker, below, for a group of three works and writings called “oasis, fractured memories and whimsey.” Sponsor’s Choice awarded to John McKaig for his woodcut piece “Toastmaster.” Rita Bower received an Honorable Mention for her mixed medio monotype called “Land of Magic.” The exhibit was judged by Penny Lutz, Director of the Gallery at Penn College.
