STATE COLLEGE — H. Amos Goodall Jr., CELA, of Steinbacher, Goodall and Yurchak, was recently named to Pennsylvania Business Central’s Top 100 People for 2019.

He is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. Amos was recognized for his continued commitment to serving the needs of our area’s elderly community.

During his 45 year career in Centre County, he has been an active member of several community organizations, including the Centre Foundation, Foxdale Village, the Centre County Youth Service Bureau, Centre County Bar Association, Centre County United Way, and the Child Development Council of Central Pennsylvania, serving as chief executive of the board of each, and has been solicitor to a number of other organizations. He loves to see his community flourish.

“Helping people who are older and people who have special challenges, as well as the families of both, has been extremely rewarding,” said Amos. “I enjoy working with people on their planning goals for the second half of life, while also being an active participant in community initiatives. I take great pride in seeing our community thrive and give back whenever possible.”

Amos advises his clients and their families on estate planning concerns, competency issues, and estate administration matters. He is currently serving a two-year term as President of the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF). Amos brings an extensive legal background of more than 45 years and a passion for assisting the elderly community into his leadership role. In 2017, Amos was named Pennsylvania Lawyer of the Year by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Attorney Goodall has been practicing in Centre County since 1976. He is a member of the Special Needs Alliance–a private practice group representing individuals and families of persons with disabilities by coordinating private resources with public benefit programs. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and he earned an LL.M. degree (with honors) in Elder Law from Stetson University School of Law.
