Leadership Clinton County this year celebrates its 20-year anniversary, and M&T Bank – one of the original sponsors – continues to see the value in the leadership development program. Darlene Weaver, left, Vice President at M&T Bank and a Leadership Clinton County graduate, recently presented a check for $1,000 in support of the program to Leadership Clinton County Coordinator April Bittner. “As a graduate of Leadership Clinton County I know how important and how successful this program is,” said Weaver. “It develops community-minded leaders with the skills necessary to become more actively involved in Clinton County. Participants gain a better understanding of our community while developing leadership skills such as networking, teamwork, and meeting management.” More than 235 people have participated in Leadership Clinton County since its inception. Program graduates have gone on to take leadership roles in business, nonprofit organizations and in government.“Clinton County’s future depends on our leaders,” said Bittner, who encourages others to invest in the county’s future by becoming a Leadership Clinton County sponsor.
