Mitzi Gallagher-Long joins SEDA-COG
LOCK HAVEN — Mitzi Gallagher-Long of Lock Haven began April 1 as project coordinator for the SEDA-Council of Governments Community Development program.
She has experience in grant administration and grant writing, planning and organization, communication, leadership, marketing and sales.
Her professional career spans being director of retail outlet operations and northeast district manager at Danskin Inc., director of sales and marketing at Avis Packaging, to most recently working as former state Rep. Michael Hanna’s legislative aide.
Gallagher-Long earned a bachelor of science degree in secondary education social science from Lock Haven University.
Other appointments by SEDA-COG include Nicole Hogan as program assistant with the Lewisburg-based agency’s Community Development program May 1. She has bookkeeping, customer service, and administrative assistant experience from Koroseal Interior Products, Grizzly Industrial Inc., and The Edmunds Group. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from Bloomsburg University.
Karen Smith started April 15 as program assistant for the Business Finance department. She has collegiate administrative assistant experience, coming from Bucknell University’s College of Engineering. She also has been secretary and typist for Residential by Ross and office manager and bookkeeper for David Ewing Custom Homes. She earned her Associate Degree in Specialized Business in Accounting from McCann School of Business and Technology.
