Local attorneys speak at Elder Law Institute

JERSEY SHORE — Certified Elder Law Attorneys Tammy A. Weber and Matthew J. Parker of the law firm of Marshall, Parker & Weber, LLC presented at the 22nd Annual Elder Law Institute in Harrisburg on July 18 and 19.

Approximately 350 attorneys and paralegals were in attendance. This two-day institute is known as one of the leading elder law conferences in the country, attended by attorneys from across Pennsylvania.

Attorneys Tammy A. Weber and Tim Sechler of Sechler Law Firm, gave different perspectives on handling “Your First Client A to Z.” Attorney Weber also co-presented with Dr. Steven A. Weisblatt on “It’s Not Just Dementia! What Every Lawyer Needs to Know about Mental Health in the Elderly.”

Attorney Matthew Parker presented a session on “Using Irrevocable Trusts in Medicaid and Veteran’s Benefits Planning.” Attorney Parker is proud to represent veterans and he is a VA Accredited Attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for Veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
