Amos Goodall selected to The Best Lawyers in America

Amos Goodall Jr.

STATE COLLEGE — H. Amos Goodall Jr., CELA, of Steinbacher, Goodall and Yurchak was selected for inclusion in the 26th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America for 2020. This is an honor given to lawyers based upon peer review. Attorney Goodall has been given this recognition for his work both in Elder Law and in Trusts and Estates, one of the only lawyers in Pennsylvania to be so honored.

Best Lawyers is the “first and foremost resource” for legal talent in the world. Best Lawyers makes their selections based upon the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about their colleagues in their graphical area, and their professionalism and legal abilities. Lawyers are first nominated by another lawyer in their area and then peer reviewed. Once they are confirmed to be eligible, results are collected, and the list is released to the public. Attorney Goodall is excited and honored to be receiving such a highly regarded and well-known recognition.

Attorney Goodall’s other accolades include his previous recognition by the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF) through its Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) designation. He is currently serving his two-year term as President of the NELF, as well as being a member of the Special Needs Alliance–a private practice group representing individuals and families of persons with disabilities by coordinating private resources with public benefit programs.

Attorney Goodall has been practicing in Centre County since 1976 after earning an LL.M. degree (with honors) in Elder Law from Stetson University School of Law. During his forty-five year career in Centre County, he has been an active member of several community organizations, including the Centre Foundation, Foxdale Village, the Centre County Youth Service Bureau, Centre County Bar Association, Centre County United Way, and the Child Development Council of Central Pennsylvania, serving as chief executive of the board of each, and has been solicitor to a number of other organizations. He is also an author of the LexisNexis treatise Tax, Estate & Financial Planning for the Elderly, as well as the forms set for the same subject.
