Central Mountain

With the softball season beginning for Central Mountain High school girls, we’re going to review how last season went. The Lady Wildcats headed to state quarterfinals after taking down Albert Gallatin 11-1 in the 5th inning. Their record for last season was winning 16 and losing 4.

Last season the varsity team consisted of 2017 graduate Averie Pringle; seniors Skylar Smith, Caitlyn Brush, Josie Dershem, Makenzie Peters, and Meagan Miller; juniors Morgan Wetzel, Madison Knepp, Cassidy Brush, Autumn Dershem, Maddy Bechdel, Autumn Young and Jenni Skow, and sophomore Bailee Renninger.

Their first scrimmage was against Philipsburg-Osceola at the CMHS field. It was on March 15 at 4:30 p.m. The second scrimmage was against Bald Eagle Area on March 19 at 4 p.m. It took place on the BEA High School field.

Their first game will take place on March 23 at 4:30 p.m. against Mifflin County and it’s a home game. It takes place on the BEA field. I’m sure it would mean a lot to the Central Mountain varsity girls team if you showed your support.

There’s a game on March 27 against Williamsport Area at Williamsport Area High School field. The game takes place at 4:30 p.m. Make sure you show support at their first away game.
