Adopt a kitty
Fonda’s Foundlings cat rescue will hold a special adoption weekend at the State College Petco on Colonnade Boulevard this Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Please come a give a formerly homeless cat a forever home. All are spayed /neutered, vaccinated, and tested for viruses. Due to the director’s health issues, she is trying to find homes for about 45 cats. For more information, please call 814-238-4758.
Native American Artifacts
The Jersey Shore Historical Society welcomes Tank Baird for a Native American Artifact program on Sept. 30, from 3 – 4 p.m. at the Samuel Moss House, 200 S. Main St., Jersey Shore. Tank Baird is the vice president of the North Central Chapter 8 Archaeology Club of Lycoming County and was featured on the PBS program Peoples of the Susquehanna, and is considered to be the premier authority on Native American artifacts. The informative program will highlight the Todd Hager collection along with some artifacts from Tank Baird’s personal collection. Bring along an artifact you would like identified.
