BEA schedules Homecoming events for 2018
WINGATE — Bald Eagle Area will be holding Homecoming activities this week.
On Thursday, a homecoming parade will be held in Milesburg. Approximately 50 groups are scheduled to participate.
The parade starts at 6 p.m. on Old Route 220 and ends at the American Legion Fields, where a bonfire will be held at the parade’s conclusion .
The crowning of the Homecoming Queen will be held on Friday at Alumni Field, with festivities beginning at 6:30 p.m. The football game against Tyrone will follow at 7 p.m.
During the football game, the BEA 1st and 10 Club will be holding a fundraiser to benefit Jersey Shore senior football player Caleb Leone, who suffered a serious injury during a practice in August. Gift cards and monetary donations will be collected at the canopy by the football field’s main gate. The 1st and 10 Club will also be donating their portion of the 50/50 receipts collected that evening to the Leone family.
2018 Homecoming activities will conclude with a semiformal dance at the BEA Middle-High School on Saturday beginning at 7 p.m.
