Piper Aviation Museum plans Jeep Mystery Tour

LOCK HAVEN — The Third Annual Piper Aviation Museum Jeep Mystery Tour will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, beginning at 9 a.m., when all participating jeeps will leave on a ride though Clinton County’s remote forests.

There are still openings and drivers are coming from as far away as New Jersey to participate.

The Jeeps are expected to return around 4 p.m., when there will be a dinner at the museum catered by Curt’s Smokin’ Ribs. Music will be provided by a DJ until 9 p.m.

The cost is $40 for the jeep driver, and $25 for each additional passenger or for anyone who just wants to come to the dinner. All proceeds benefit the Piper Aviation Museum. Payments can be made in advance by calling the museum at 570-748-8283.

During the ride, there will be stops to hear about local history. The Jeep Mystery Tour is growing every year as past participants are helping to get the word out.
