Railroad lumber force at Renovo

The railroad shops at Renovo once included a lumber force, and this photo shows the lumber workers sometime in the latter part of the 19th century, under Conrad “Cony” H. Lau, great-grandfather of Renovo area historian Charles Barnum. Mr. Lau is in the first row of men seated on chairs and is the sixth seated man from the left. He is wearing a white shirt, dark coat and light hat and has an impressive moustache. We thank Mr. Barnum for sharing this photo with other Express readers.
