LOCK HAVEN – Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania Lieutenant governor, John Fetterman, made a stop in Clinton County on Sept. 26 to meet with local voters.

More than 50 residents of Clinton and neighboring Lycoming County turned out for the event at the Democratic campaign headquarters on Bellefonte Avenue, which also featured a free ice cream social.

Fetterman spoke to the crowd for about an hour and a half, covering a diverse amount of issues facing Pennsylvanians – from public education funding to protecting organized labor rights, and from supporting Medicare and Medicaid, to protecting the most vulnerable groups in society.

The candidate also encouraged people to volunteer by canvassing and participating in phone banks. He stressed the importance of registering people to vote and getting out to the polls on Election Day.

“We were excited to host John Fetterman … as this presents a great opportunity for voters and residents of Clinton County and the surrounding communities to meet our nominee before Election Day,” said Rose Reeder, county Democratic Committee chairwoman. “These meet and greet events allow locals to learn about candidates firsthand and share their concerns with individuals who may one day represent them.”
