More than 40 Lock Haven University health science students, along with Dr. Beth McMahon, LHU professor, recently traveled to Philadelphia to the visit America’s finest museum of medical history, the Mutter Museum. The museum, founded in 1787 by the College of Physicians, is the oldest professional medial organization in the country. A few of the features of the collection included a plaster cast and conjoined liver of Siamese twins, Dr. Joseph Hyrtl’s human skull collection, a specimen from John Wilkes Booth’s vertebra, a jaw tumor of President Grover Cleveland, Einstein’s brain, and more.
