BELLEFONTE –Some of the Miss Agriculture U.S.A. County and National Queens volunteered for the Centre County Farm Tour to help promote agriculture last Saturday.

Miss Agriculture USA is a new non-profit agriculture promotion organization featuring queens of all ages who promote, celebrate and educate about all the diverse aspects of agriculture.

During the event, the queens checked in the guest, informed them about any special tours or activities and talked to the guest about agriculture.

Mikayla Haggarty, Somerset County Miss Agriculture U.S.A., stated, “I thought the whole experience was beneficial to the entire community, farmers and attendees alike, as it gave people the ability to see the true face of agriculture. It was also really nice to see how excited all of the children were to experience farm life and to interact with the farm animals.”

Requests for queens to make an appearance at your event or to learn more about the program, send an email to MissAgricultureUSA@gmail.com or visit www.missagricultureusa.org.
