The Bucktail Area High School basketball programs recently held a Military Appreciation night when the Jr. High and Varsity Bucks hosted Northumberland Christian Academy. Thirty veterans attended the night that featured a Color Guard presented by the Western Clinton County Veterans Council during the National Anthem as well as a playing of TAPS by veteran Jim Franklin. Names of the veterans on hand were read during halftime of the Warriors win over the home team with applause as each military branch and those veterans representing each branch were read aloud. A moment of silence was observed for all deceased veterans but particularly Stanton “Manny” Probst who passed away earlier in the day.
