Elks members volunteer at Hoop Shoot events

Each year, the Elks host a basketball free throw (Hoop Shoot) contest for boys and girls ages 8 through 13. The Hoop Shoot Contest begins at the local lodge level, then advances to the Elks District level. It takes multiple volunteers for both the local and district levels to make sure the events run smoothly. Above, many, many hands are needed to carry out the myriad duties associated with the State College Elks Local Lodge Hoop Shoot. Shown here are a group of volunteers who carried out the assignments for this year’s free throw contest. From left, local Lodge Hoop Shoot Director Van Arvin, Lynn Corl, Bob Sills, Julianne Sills, Dave Will, Jeff Weyman, Dann Cornali, Karen Dobson, Chuck Pavloski, Chris Dobson, Paige Dobson, Eric Waltz, Nate Frey, Scott Frey, and Randy Aikens. At left, shown here are a number of the District Hoop Shoot volunteers, who assisted with the Elks North Central District Hoop Shoot.
