JERSEY SHORE – The Jersey Shore Branch of the River Valley Regional YMCA was recently named the recipient of the Williamsport Lycoming Community Fund and the Rosco M. and Edith M. Wolf Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of PA.

“The funds, totaling $65,500, will be used for a revitalization project to improve membership and guest facility spaces,” explains Branch Executive Director Corinne Amrom. “This will help the Jersey Shore YMCA advance our cause and mission driven services and programs.”

The project includes expanding and updating the existing vestibule to meet current ADA accessibility requirements. This, combined with the recent porch renovations will help ensure easy and safe access to the building. The bathrooms within the vestibule will also be updated to improve accessibility and allow for higher quality sanitation level for our members.

The renovations include combining two separate wellness areas into one more functional and inviting wellness area. This will allow us to serve our program participants as well as improve the wellness experience of all members.

An upgrade to more efficient lighting fixtures throughout the facility is also in plans to which will help reduce future utility and maintenance costs.

As a community hub in Jersey Shore, it is the YMCA’s goal to impact and be accessible to as many people as possible. These upgrades will enable the Y to better serve and strengthen our community.

“Thank you to the First Community Foundation Partnership of PA.” said Chad Eberhart, CEO, River Valley Regional YMCA. “Your continued support of the YMCA will help us meet needs within our community and have a greater impact on those we serve.”
