Former JS High School under construction
Before it was Jersey Shore Area Middle School, the building located along Thompson Street in the borough was the new Jersey Shore High School. The building was constructed in 1958 and officially completed by June 1959. In the upper left hand corner you can see the former high-school-turned-middle-school that is now called The Tiadaghton Mall. It was sold in the 1980s when the latest high school was constructed and opened in the fall of 1983 and middle school classes were transferred to the former high school. The large trees in the bottom left hand corner are at the location of the future Jersey Shore Elementary School. The building wouldn’t be constructed until sometime in the 1960s.
