Easter seafood

sale to benefit Fly-In

LOCK HAVEN — The Sentimental Journey Fly-In is holding an Easter seafood sale with a variety of fresh and frozen products available.

Pick up will be Friday, April 19 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Piper Memorial Airport Hangar 1, 353 Proctor St.

The following items can be ordered by calling Ed Watson at 570-971-7545 or emailing edwatsonLHV@gmail.com:

– One and a quarter pound fresh, live lobster at $16.50 each.

– Two pounds fresh, live lobster for $30 each.

– Custom ordered live lobster over 3 pounds will cost $17 per pound.

– Fresh scallops $25 per pound.

– 4 ounce fresh Maryland jumbo lump crab cakes, $12 each.

– 11-12 ounce frozen lobster tails, $27.50 each.

– Frozen cooked, peeled and deveined shrimp, 26-30 count bags, $22.50 each.

– 6 Main clam cakes, $10 each.

– 24 ounces New England clam chowder, $12.

– 24 ounces Maine lobster bisque, $18.50.

The sale will also include frozen wild Maine blueberries costing $7.50 for one pound and $28 for five pounds.

The deadline to order any of these items is April 17. Cash and check are accepted. Make checks payable to Sentimental Journey.

Money raised will benefit the Sentimental Journey Fly-In.

Project WET Seminar to be held at Little Pine State Park

WATERVILLE — Little Pine State Park will be holding a Project WET curriculum seminar on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This seminar is open to educators working with children in first through ninth grade levels. This includes teachers, day care providers, children’s services people, and youth group leaders. The seminar is sponsored by the Bureau of State Parks.

Project WET is an environmental education curriculum supplement designed for educators working with students from kindergarten through 12th grades. Many of the activities can also be used to help children meet the requirements for various badges or awards for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or 4-H. Project WET is a collection of water-related activities that are hands-on, easy to use, and fun!

Pre-registration is required for this seminar, and registration will be limited to 10 – 15 participants. Participants should be prepared for being in the outdoors, rain or shine. Morning coffee will be provided. You should also bring a bag lunch, as there are no nearby restaurants.

Participants who complete the seminar will receive the Project WET Activity Guide for K – 12 and other related materials. Teachers will also be credited for six hours of training for Act 48 certification. There is a $15 fee for this seminar, payable the day of the seminar.
