Clinton County Fair Farmers and Flea Market
Clinton County Fair Farmers and Flea Market will be held at Clinton County Fairgrounds every Tuesday, running now through Sept. 17, with the exception of July 23 and July 30 due to Clinton County Fair. For vendor info or questions, contact Bonnie Williams at 570-295-8170. There will be Mr. Sticky, cheeses, meats, (produce in June), baked goods, Tupperware, jewelry and other assorted flea market items.
During this event, held at Ole Bull State Park on Sunday, May 26, at 7:30 p.m., there will be opportunities to learn the different characteristics of insects as well as a search for different insects. Afterwards, join the staff for “Bug Bingo.” All children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the amphitheater.
Canoeing and Kayaking
On Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m., Kettle Creek State Park will host an event on the instruction and safety of canoeing and kayaking, and will also include a paddle on the reservoir. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must wear a life jacket during this program. This program will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Meet at the boat launch. This program requires registration if you are reserving a spot on one of the park’s kayaks (four spaces available) or canoes (seven spaces available) (call the park office at 570-923-6004 or register online).
