BLANCHARD — The Busy Bees in Blanchard have been working hard since January to raise money and gather supplies needed to expand their hive. The work began early August and is slated to be complete by Labor Day.

“I stood here today and watched as volunteers came together to help lay the floor and build the walls. I thought just how blessed we are to live in such a wonderful community. People helping people. These are the values we need to instill in our children” said Tonya Fisher, owner of the Busy Bees Daycare center.

Busy Bees Daycare has been a licensed daycare in Blanchard for 14 years. They are a Star 2 in the Keystone Stars ranking and looking to raise that to a star 3 with the expansion.

With the additional square footage, Busy Bees will be adding a natural discovery area, a sensory unit and additional dramatic play areas.

“All of this would not be possible without the help from Justin Rickert from JD Rickert Construction. He has played a vital role in getting this project off the ground. His skills and guidance make up the core of this project, “ said Ron Fisher

Busy Bees would like to thank everyone for all their contributions, time and support during this fantastic transition.
