CRODA presents at LH Kiwanis meeting

CRODA Inc., its products and expansion were topics of a presentation by Robert Strouse, the specialty chemical manufacturer’s site director, at the Aug. 1 meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Lock Haven. Strouse outlined the company’s size and talked about its specialty chemicals, many of which can be found in personal care products around the world. Croda Inc.’s plant in Bald Eagle Township employs 170 people, part of a 4,200-strong workforce in 36 countries across the globe. The local plant manufactures about 260 different product “one batch at a time,” Strouse told Kiwanians. The local plant is undergoing a $35 million capital expansion that will increase its manufacturing capacity. The project will create additional jobs. The club meets most Thursdays at noon at the Lock Haven Elks Lodge, first floor. The club picnic is Sept. 11.
