Local dance teacher receives national recognition

LOCK HAVEN — Local teacher and studio owner Rachael Bischof, owner of Rachael’s Dance Unlimited Dance Studio for over 28 years, was named Dance Teacher of the Year 2019 at the Omni Frisco Hotel in Dallass, Texas.

Her dream of creating a safe haven for all children to learn dance in a magical setting, was recognized and applauded by one of the nation’s top dance educational organizations, Los Angeles based MusicWorks Unlimited, under the ownership of well known dance producers Darryl and Linda Retter.

Bischof received this auspicious honor while attending the five day dance teacher seminar, Dance Teacher Connection.

She was accompanied by her dedicated staff of teachers and her three daughters. This vivacious dance educator was honored for her life’s work in teaching dance enthusiasts of all ages.

Her mission to bring out the imagination and creativity in every child through the world of dance serves as a continued inspiration to her students, staff, community and her beloved dance community.

Rachael’s Dance Unlimited, located at 527 Sturdevant St., Lock Haven, offers dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, gymnastics, pre-school and more.

Rachael is a true dance advocate and desires to promote the art of dance in an age appropriate and positive manner. Her motto is “To Teach – To Move – To Inspire” continues to enrich the lives of her dance students as she taps into their “unlimited” potentials.

Rachael will be holding two open house/registrations on Aug. 20 and 21 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the studio. Those interested in enrolling at the studio are encouraged to come visit during this time to learn more about the programs offered. Late registrations will be taken from 4-7 p.m. on Aug. 28.
