Car Seat

Safety Check

A Car Seat Safety Check will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at the Centre Hall Library, 109 W. Beyrl St., Centre Hall. Bring children in their car seats and a nationally certified child passenger safety tehnicians evaluate your seat and teach you how to safely transport your child. Even if your child is not available, your seat can be evaluated.

Walker Township Fall Festival

Walker Township will be holding a Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

at the township pavilion.

Book sale begins today at Ross Library

The Annual Book Sale at Ross Library begins today and continues through Saturday. They’ll have everything from children’s books to adult genre books, an assortment of DVDs, records and puzzles and everything in between. Books start at 25 cents a piece. Days and hours: Today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday/Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday is bag day. Get a bag of books for only $5.

Thursday night bingo at

Red Eye Center

Thursday night bingo has started back up at the Red Eye center in Flemington. It’s a cash bingo with hand held machines. The jack pot goes nightly.

JS grad to be on Judge Judy

Jersey Shore High School graduate, Jessica Edwards (class of 1977) was the plaintiff in a case heard before Judge Judy. It was filmed in May of 2019 and is supposed to air Sept. 27, 2019. The case is about Jessica (now a resident of Salt Lake City) crossing a street in Salt Lake City in her electric wheelchair when she was struck by an uninsured driver on March 12, 2019.
