JS Farmers Market under new ownership

JERSEY SHORE — With the unfortunate passing of Jersey Shore Farmers Market coordinator Ed Snook, the fate of the weekly sales was unknown. That was until recently.

It was announced on social media that the market will be under new ownership as of October 1.

Mack and Saddie Peachey will be taking over the market with plans to make renovations and upgrades to the building.

The market will be open on Sept. 19 and 26 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then remain closed until the renovations can be completed.

The items in the Tool Shed will be 50 percent off and all tarps are 25 percent off until the close of the market at the end of September when the Peacheys take over.

The market will have meat, produce, Nan’s Donuts and many new things to offer, the social media post said.

If anyone is interested in a space they are asked to visit Susan Scanlan or Mack Peachey at the market over the next two weeks. Please write down your name and items you’re interested in selling, the size of space you will need to set up your items as well as your name and phone number on a piece of paper and give to them.
