Peruvian educator observes preparation of old fire engine for city children


Kenneth Passell, a sophomore at the Lock Haven Vocational School, sprays a fire engine purchased by the city recreation board on May 5, 1959. The board purchased the fire engine to place in Hoberman Park for children to play with. At right, vocation director C. Dale Long and Caesar Roberto Rioja, a Peruvian vocational educator, watch at Passell works. Rioja taught at Peru University in vocational teacher education and was observing classes that week at Lock Haven High School. He was studying with Pennsylvania State University and traveled through many schools in the nation during 1959.
