Holy Spirit Parish will be holding its annual Holly Mart Christmas Bazaar at the Lock Haven Catholic School gymnasium, 311 W. Water St., Lock Haven, on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 10. There will be a silent auction, baked goods for sale, crafts for kids, theme baskets and cash drawings. The bazaar will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 9 with lunch available and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 10 with a continental breakfast option.
Jersey Shore Historical Society meeting
The Jersey Shore Historical Society will meet Thursday Oct. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at Samuel Moss House 200 S. Main St., Jersey Shore for the first business meeting of the new year. We will be discussing our 2019-2020 programs and events highlighting local women. All of our business meetings are open to the public.
Dancing at State College Friends School
A Contra Dance and Old Time Country Dance will be held on Friday, Oct. 18 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the State College Friends School, 1900 University Drive. Bruce Young will call the dances to music by Strath Hanna. All dances are taught and easy to learn. No partner needed. The steps are similar to square dancing. Lock Haven Kiwanis will be holding its annual spaghetti dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dunnstown Fire Hall. Tickets cost $8 per person and you have the option to eat in or carry out. There will also be a basket raffle. Tickets are available from any Kiwanis member or at the door.
