Jersey Shore Summer Recreation receives grant

JERSEY SHORE — The Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., d/b/a Cremation Society of North Central Pennsylvania, 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, presented the Jersey Shore Summer Recreation Department with a $1,000 grant on behalf of the funeral home, cremation society and the Matthews Children’s Foundation.

The Matthews Children’s Foundation is a non-profit organization which supports local children’s charities across the United States and is funded by Matthews Aurora Funeral Solutions and Matthews Cemetery Products, where a donation in memory of the deceased is made to the Matthews Children’s Foundation with every purchase of a Matthews or Aurora casket at a participating funeral home.

The Matthews Children’s Foundation grants that money to local nonprofit children’s organizations whose sole purpose is to support children.To date, over $5.0 Million has been awarded to children\’s charities across the country.

Wayne P. Urbine, FD owner of the Cremation Society of North Central Pennsylvania, Jersey Shore, and owner of the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., Loganton, presented a check for $1,000 to Pete Watkins, board member of the Jersey Shore Summer Recreation Department.
