YMCA director to rappel from building

WILLIAMSPORT — Lock Haven YMCA’s very own Beth Bartlett, assistant executive director, will be rappeling 105 feet down the William Hepburn High Rise in Williamsport this Saturday at 1 p.m.

The River Valley Regional YMCA, the YWCA of Northcentral PA, and the Williamsport Area School District Education Foundation have teamed up to Go Over the Edge.

The event benefits the health, education, and empowerment of the communities they serve.

Bartlett’s goal was to raise $1,000 for the cause, going as far as spending time in “jail” on Oct. 16. She spent a large portion of her day in a “cell” located at the Y along Water Street.

Anyone who would like more information about the fundraiser and the rappeling event can contact Jessica Probst at the River Valley Regional YMCA.
