Totally Scrooged:

A Classic Tale Reinvented

LOCK HAVEN — Are you planning a Holiday get-together for friends or a celebration of the season with co-workers? If so, we have a deal for you!

Join us for Totally Scrooged with Bob Cratchit, the Fezziwigs, Scrooge and Tiny Tim, an interactive musical evening on Saturday Dec. 7, 7 p.m., at the Eagles, 433 E. Clinton St., Lock Haven.

Tickets are $20 per person (reserved table of 8 for $140) including the show and appetizers. There will be a cash bar. Tickets are on sale at the Heisey House Museum and Downtown Lock Haven or on line at www.clintonpahistory.org.

Expect some surprises because this “Christmas Carol” is far from ordinary as the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come are among the visitors on that evening. This event benefits the Clinton County Historical Society in support of its mission. “And as Tiny Tim observed, God bless us, everyone.”

‘The Future of Nuclear Power’ to be discussed

STATE COLLEGE — Should nuclear power be used as a part of the energy mix to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and what factors should be considered in that decision?

Those questions will inform the topic “The Future of Nuclear Energy,” a presentation beginning at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 3 in the Downsbrough Community Room of Schlow Library, 211 S. Allen Street, State College.

The event, sponsored by the State College chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The speakers will be Arthur T. Motta, Professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Penn State University, and David J. Allard, Director of the Bureau of Radiation Protection at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
