LHU Dance Consort to

hold performances

LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven University Dance Consort will hold performances at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 in the John Sloan Fine Arts Center auditorium, on the LHU campus.

Some of the dance genres that will be performed include tap, contemporary, jazz, Irish, lyrical and modern.

Tickets are free and open to the public and can be reserved two weeks prior to the shows. Tickets are available at the Lock Haven University box office by emailing boxoffice@lockhaven.edu or call 570-484-3983. Leave first and last name, date and time of the show, number of tickets requested and preferred location of seats in the message.

The Dance Consort group at LHU is an active club on campus, attracting new members every year and showcasing students’ talents in the performance of many types of dance.

Kibler recertified as

magisterial district judge

LOCK HAVEN — Magisterial District Judge Keith G. Kibler was again certified for service as a member of the Pennsylvania’s Unified Judicial System after successful completion recently of continuing legal education course work.

Conducted by the Minor Judiciary Education Board and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, the week-long instructional program held in Harrisburg is designed to ensure that magisterial district judges remain current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques required to fairly adjudicate cases and effectively supervise a district court office.

Continuing education course work is required by statute of each of the more than 500 Pennsylvania Magisterial District Judges, with approximately 50 Magisterial District Judges attending one of 13 such classes during each academic year.
