Ross Library, Women’s Center benefit from golf tournament


Proceeds from the John B. Hoy Jr. Memorial Charity Golf Outing were handed out to local organizations at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Clinton County Solid Waste Authority. Thirty-five teams participated and $9,990 was raised. The proceeds were split evenly between the Ross Library and Clinton County Women’s Center. Shown in photo at right are, from left, Theresa Lingenfelter, tournament coordinator; landfill general manager Jay Alexander; Tammy Garrison of the Ross Library, and Terry Weaver, chairman of the landfill’s board of directors. In the photo at left are, from left, Lingenfelter, Alexander, Sarah Harnishfeger of the Women’s Center, and Weaver. Each charity received $4,990. Both ladies were very appreciative of the support and said the money will greatly help their mission.
