Cancer Support

Group to meet

LOCK HAVEN — The Cancer Support Group will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in Conference Room B of Susque-View. “Tips to Make the Most of the Holidays while Facing Cancer” will be the topic of the December meeting.

While holidays can be a wonderful time of the year for most, they can also be more stressful for those facing cancer with medical appointments, fatigue and heightened emotions.

The group will review two articles from Coping magazine with tips on how to get through the holidays in a healthy, fulfilling way. After the discussion, the group will enjoy refreshments and singing Christmas Carols with Sue Eminhizer, a resident of Susque-View and Support Group member, at the piano.

The Cancer Support Group is facilitated by Fran Decker, MSW and hosted by Susque-View. The program is free and open to anyone who has a diagnosis of cancer, both newly diagnosed and long-time survivors. Family members and friends are also welcome. The group meets the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in Conference Room B of Susque-View.

For more information about the support group, call Fran Decker at 570-748-4302.
