Word of the Day

Sidesplitter — Something that is uproariously funny, as a joke or a situation

Quote of the Day

“I am no interested in power for power’s sake, but I’m interested in power that is moral, that is right and that is good.”

— Martin Luther King, Jr.

Coaches vs. Cancer

We are inviting the community to our Coaches vs. Cancer events on Jan. 28 and 29 beginning at 7:30 p.m. located at the Central Mountain High School. This year’s events are centered around Pediatric Cancer Awareness so we are asking that you wear your Gold to support this important cause. We will also be honoring a classmate of ours who, unfortunately, lost his battle with Cancer when we were in Middle School. There are many ways in which you can support this cause. All KCSD staff are asked to participate in the dress down day for a donation on Jan. 22. You can purchase a shirt for $10. You can attend the events where there will be raffles, 50/50, etc. for sale. You can donate items for Pediatric Chemotherapy Bags, which will be delivered to Geisinger in February.

We have spent many hours working to make this event very successful. We are asking that the community come out and support our senior project, the athletes participating in both events, and those that continue to fight their battle with Cancer. Thank you. Alyssa Fisher and Trevor Adair, Central Mountain High School, Class of 2021.
