PA CareerLink Open House

The staff of PA CareerLink Clinton County invite you to attend their Open House 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 at 8 N. Grove St., Lock Haven. Soup and Sandwich Sale

The McElhattan United Methodist Church will be hosting a soup & sandwich sale Jan. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Menu items will consist of vegetable soup and hot sausage sandwiches. Take-out will also be available.

Birdwatching Field Trip

Lycoming Audubon will be holding a field trip to Cogan House Twp., looking for winter birds, such as pine siskins and horned larks, on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 8:30 a.m., weather permitting. Check facebook.com/groups/lycomingaudubon for updates. Participants will meet in the parking lot of Fry Brothers Turkey Ranch, six miles north of Trout Run, off Steam Valley exit of Route 15.

Winter Accessory Drive

The community service office at LHU will host a hat, glove and scarf drive for the homeless during the men’s and women’s basketball games beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Thomas Field House. New and gently used hats, gloves and scarves will be accepted. Donations will benefit the Clinton County Housing Authority, Life Center and Merit House.
