World of Comics

“Welcome to the World of Comics, Graphic Novels, Manga and Comic Con” will be presented by John Shableski at 6 p.m. on March 5 at the Ross Library. How does a comic book, graphic novel or manga get published? What does a publisher look for in the books they choose? How does a book become a movie, animation, series or a game? If you are a storyteller of any age, come join in on this conversation about the publishing, gaming and comic con industry. This one-hour session will include a slide presentation followed by Q&A. This program is held during Will Eisner Week.

UPMC Lock Haven Fundraiser

Mindy’s Jewels will be hosting a fundraiser for the UPMC Lock Haven Auxilary Tuesday, March 17 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m in the main lobby of Lock Haven Hospital. Items on display will include handcrafted silver jewelry and unique designs.
