Blood Drive

The Fraternal Order of Eagles is holding a blood drive on March 6, from 1:30 to 6 p.m. in the Aerie’s Trackside Room, 433 E. Clinton St. in Lock Haven. The American Red Cross urgently needs donors of all blood types to give now for patients who rely on blood transfusions for survival. The need for blood is urgent at this time of year. Donors will receive a Red Cross St. Patrick’s Day-themed T-shirt while supplies last. All eligible donors are urged to give now. Donors may schedule a time online at www.redcrossblood.org

Spaghetti Dinner

The Howard United Methodist Church will have a Spaghetti dinner on Friday, March 6, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The meal includes spaghetti, meatballs or vegetarian, salad, rolls, dessert, and beverage. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12, under 5 is free. All the profits will support the Howard Scout troop.

Freedom From Smoking ®

Geisinger health and wellness is offering Freedom From Smoking® at no cost at! These sessions will take place Mondays from March 23 to May 4 in the community room of Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, 1020 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is an eight-session, interactive program developed by the American Lung Association, that provides skills and support to help tobacco users conquer their addiction. Learn about lifestyle changes to make quitting easier and coping strategies for managing stress and avoiding weight gain. Join us if you are ready to quit!
