Donations for The Revolution Rack

MILL HALL — Last week The Express published an article called “A Different Kind of Fab Five – Teamwork Makes the Dream Work” and locals have been inquiring about the needs of The Revolution Rack, Central Mountain Middle School’s student store. (If you missed the article you can find it at lockhaven.com.)

If you are working from home, home schooling, or looking for something to keep you occupied at home due to the current national crisis and have middle school appropriate clothing or shoes that you no longer need, consider cleaning out your closets and donating to The Revolution Rack. Cleaning and sorting is a good way to clear your mind, feel productive, and gain a sense of accomplishment.

Better yet, encourage your bored teen or college-age student to do it! Items should be clean, free of stains and tears (except for those popular jeans that are pre-torn – we want those), have working zippers, etc. The following are the most popular and most needed items:

CM Spirit Wear – Did you or your children graduate from Central Mountain and you still have a bin full of items from your Wildcat days? Hoodies, T-shirts, sweatpants, shorts, hats? All these items sporting a Central Mountain theme are needed for the school store. And really, are you ever going to wear them again? Keep one for old time’s sake and donate the others. Go Wildcats!

Hoodies – It’s no surprise that The Revolution Rack is in need of hoodies. Any color, any size (Youth Large through XXL) – we need your hoodies!

T-shirts – Not the ones that grandma wears, but middle schoolers are looking for T-shirts sporting a popular logo (Nike, Under Armour, etc.) or a favorite team (Penn State, LHU, Steelers, etc.) or a cool saying. So, “just do it”… donate your gently used T-shirts.

The Revolution Rack is also looking for new or gently used Spring Fling dresses, shoes, sneakers, cleats, jeans, pants, shorts, and tank tops as well as gift items, age-appropriate books, jewelry, lanyards, and accessories.

Since the school is closed, we ask people to bag up their items and hold them for us until schools are open again. If you have further questions, contact Joni Bumbarger at jbumbarger@comcast.net
