A hopeful poem
To help bring a bit of positivity to these dreary times here is a poem by famed poet Emily Dickinson called “Hope is the thing with feathers:”
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
Help a local business
In these trying times everyone is suffering, including local restaurants you like. If you are able, try and order take-out from your favorites over the coming weeks. Many of them are offering curbside pick-up or delivery to make getting your food as quick and easy as possible. Just remember, one day this will all be over and things will return to normal and you’ll want them to be there right with you when it does!
