Sons of Italy offers free

spaghetti dinner

LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven Sons of Italy will offer free spaghetti dinners on Saturday, April 25, beginning at 4 p.m. Vehicles will line up in the alley behind the Sons and the dinners will be distributed by Sons members.

Between 500 and 600 dinners will be given out– two dinners per vehicle. The meal includes spaghetti, meatballs and bread. The Sons are hopeful that those picking up dinners will remember shut-ins and neighbors who can’t get out.

There will be traffic control so the distribution should move quickly. It will end when the dinners are all gone.

Centre YMCA hosting soup

BELLEFONTE — Every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon, Bellefonte YMCA of Centre County’s anti Hunger program will host a soup drive-through at the Bellefonte YMCA. Meals will be distributed behind the building in the municipal parking lot.

This service is for senior citizens and veterans in need of food during these unprecedented times. Volunteers from the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, the Bellefonte Police Department, and the Centre County Sherriff’s Department will be helping distribute meals. Drop and Go Lunch Program

PLEASANT GAP — The YMCA Drop and Go Lunch Program has added Pleasant Gap Elementary to its list of distribution points. Lunches will be served in the front of the building.

In addition to Pleasant Gap Elementary, the meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. at the following locations: YMCA in Bellefonte, Logan Fire Company, Beaver Farms, Governor’s Gate Apartments, Continental Courts (playground pavillion) and Marion-Walker Elementary.

The menu will be: Day 2 — Bologna sandwiches, fruit, celery, milk; Day 3 — English muffin, yogurt, fruit, carrots, milk; Day 4 – Ham and cheese w/Ritz crackers, fruit, broccoli, milk; Day 5 — Flatbread pizza, fruit, sliced cucumbers, milk; Day 6 — Ham and cheese wraps, fruit, sliced peppers, milk; Day 7 — Cheese quesadilla, fruit, broccoli, milk; Day 8– Bologna and cheese sandwich, fruit, celery, milk; Day 9 — Turkey and cheese on roll, fruit, carrots, milk; Day 10 — Muffins, cheese stick, Go-gurt, fruit, sliced cucumbers, milk.

Each day the bag will contain a lunch and an evening snack for every child.

St. Paul’s Food Pantry open Wednesday, April 22

MILL HALL — The Food Pantry at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, will distribute food again for the residence of the Mill Hall, Lamar area on Wednesday, April 22, from 9-11 a.m.

Because of Covid-19, Food Bank volunteers will be taking extra precautions for everyone’s safety. If you would like to receive food, please be prepared to stay in your vehicle. Someone will assist you.

To make the distribution run smoothly, we ask that people time their arrival in the following way: those whose last names begin with A through F, please arrive at 9 a.m.; G through L at 9:30 a.m.; M through R at 10 a.m.; S through Z at 10:30 a.m. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding.

The St. Paul’s Food Pantry is a ministry of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in partnership with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. It is a privilege to lend a helping hand up to our neighbors during these difficult times.

Porter Township free hot lunches

LAMAR — Free hot lunch to all students 18 and under within the Porter Township (Clinton County) area is available Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Porter Township Community Building, 216 Spring Run Road, Lamar (the old school). Please go to the South side door of the building, look for signs.

SPCA offers help during COVID-19 pandemic

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County SPCA offering help with pet food and supplies to anyone who may need it. Call 570-748-4756 or private message the SPCA on their Facebook page “Clinton County S.P.C.A.”

Please do not come to the shelter. Please call or private message us to make pick up arrangements.

Salvation Army offers food

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven Salvation Army is offering the pantry program, including senior boxes, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays (excluding Good Friday) from 9 to 11 a.m., but will be distributed at the front of The Salvation Army building, 119 E. Church St. Lock Haven. Clients will receive instructions for picking up the food. The Salvation Army is also offs Pastoral Prayer by Captains Dan and Holly Johnson (570) 748-2951; monthly Senior Food Pantry Distribution on second and third Tuesday of the month 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.); and utility, heating and rental assistance.

Free lunch and supper

FLEMINGTON — Flemington Goodwill Hose and Babe Ruth Baseball is serving free lunch and supper every day from noon to 6 p.m. to anyone in need at The Red Eye Center. Delivery may be an option for those who cannot pick up meal. Call Mike at 570-786-1343 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

JSSD offers free lunches for kids

JERSEY SHORE — The Jersey Shore Area School District will be providing meals for all children ages 18 and younger every weekday.

These meals will be distributed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Avis Elementary, Jersey Shore Area Elementary and Salladasburg Elementary. The children must be present to receive the meals.

KCSD offering free meals to children

LOCK HAVEN — The Keystone Central School District is offering free breakfast and lunch for all children of the community at six locations — Central Mountain Middle School, Robb Elementary School, Liberty-Curtin Elementary School, Woodward Elementary School, Renovo Elementary School and Sugar Valley Fire Company. The meals will be distributed by drive-through or walk-up for all children ages 1-18 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. Children will receive seven breakfast meals and seven lunch meals per week.

Centre YMCA offers free food to kids

BELLEFONTE –While schools are closed, the YMCA of Centre County is offering free lunches and evening snacks from noon to 1 p.m. at the Bellefonte, State College and Moshannon Valley YMCA’s.

New Love Center offers free

take-out meals

JERSEY SHORE — The New Love Center Cafe, 1407 Allegheny St, Jersey Shore, is offering take-out meals free of charge to all members of the community. Come to the Cafe between the hours of 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday using the Glover Street entrance to pick up a hot meal and bagged sandwich meal.
