The Clinton County Democratic Party will open its campaign headquarters at 108 Bellefonte Ave., at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The office will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday through the Nov. 3 election. In lieu of its annual picnic, the Clinton County Genealogical Society will hold an online meeting on Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend the meeting, which is free and will be held via Zoom. The gathering will be an informal discussion of genealogy and history. Bring your research questions and family stories, enjoy the company of like-minded genealogists, learn about the resources available to trace your family here, and maybe even find a cousin or two! July 4 Chicken BBQ
The Haneyville Fire Company will be holding a chicken BBQ on Saturday, July 4, beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing until all the chicken is gone. Take outs only; wear masks. The fire company is located on Route 664.
