SHOES for Shore reopens
JERSEY SHORE — SHOES for SHORE reopened on Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to noon. SHOES for SHORE supplies shoes to underprivileged children up to age 17 at no cost. They are located in room 101 of the Tiadaghton Valley Mall, 701 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
All clients must wear masks and bring the children’s insurance cards to register. They ask families to wait in the hallway as they serve one family at a time. They look forward to serving the community Saturday and in the coming months.
BELLEFONTE — Every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon, Bellefonte YMCA of Centre County’s anti Hunger program will host a soup drive-through at the Bellefonte YMCA. Meals will be distributed behind the building in the municipal parking lot.
This service is for senior citizens and veterans in need of food during these unprecedented times. Volunteers from the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, the Bellefonte Police Department, and the Centre County Sheriff’s Department will be helping distribute meals. For more information, call the YMCA at 814-342-0889.
