There’s a Farmer’s Market at Ace Hardware in Milesburg on Thursdays. Additional vendors are needed and can learn more about the farmer’s market by contacting

Valley ACE Hardware, 224 Old 220 Road, Milesburg, Pa. 16853. The phone number is 814-355-5451. Stop by the market to support the local farmers and small businesses who are there.

FIREHOUSE BINGO

Mill Hall Fire Company will have a bingo night on July 10 at the fire station. Doors open at 5:30 and bingo starts at 6:15. The kitchen will not be open though, so you will need to bring your own snacks and drinks. Because of COVID-19 you should wear a mask and practice social distancing. The chairs will be set up six feet apart to help. Bring your own hand sanitizer to use, too.

The fire company depends on the weekly bingos to support their budget so that they can continue to provide their valuable service to the community. July 10 will be the first evening of resuming the bingo and depending on the attendance the fire company will determine if they will continue having the bingo each week.

For more information about the Mill Hall Fire Company bingo contact Bill at 570-660-0288.

LIONS CLUB

Howard Area Lions will have their Food Bank distribution on July 6 for Centre County residents and on July 20 for residents in the Beech Creek area of Clinton County. The food bank hours are from 1-4 p.m. Bring your boxes back for the Lions to reuse each month for the distributions. Due to COVID-19 you should stay in your car and the Lions will direct the traffic and load your boxes for you. Please wear a mask when encountering those working at the food bank. These men are a great group of fellas who are volunteering within the community to help others so we want to do our part to keep them safe during these pandemic days.

If anyone has a working freezer that they would care to donate to the food bank for storing their frozen foods please contact Ron Davy at 570-962-2407.
