A final farewell to ‘Mick’ Kibler
It was a “heck of a show for a heck of a guy,” one of those who came out to pay tribute to retired Lock Haven City Police Officer and Detective Michael “Mick” Kibler said, as he stood among a crowd of family and friends Sunday afternoon at Triangle Park. Dozens of motorcycles led a caravan that included fire trucks, police cars and emergency vehicles to the park, where a brief ceremony was held. Kibler, who died suddenly on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the age of 80, was well known in the community, having served the city police department for 25 years. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Michelle, and two children, Denise Kibler Wood and Mark Kibler. At top, local police officers and Clinton County Sheriff Kerry Stover, far right, salute the fallen officer. Above, motorcycles lined Bellefonte Avenue.
