Quote of the Day
“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”
— Robert Louis Stevenson
Word of the Day
Segregation — the action or state of setting someone or something apart from other people or things or being set apart.
Don’t cook today
Instead drive through the line at St. Agnes Church from 4-7 p.m. and pick up supper. They’re having hot sausage sandwiches, homemade pierogies, hot dogs and funnel cakes.
Help a local
With the “green phase” of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening plan having reached Clinton County many local businesses have finally reopened their doors and expanded services. Be sure to shop locally and eat-in (where able) or take-out from your favorite restaurants. Lock Haven and the surrounding areas have wonderful small businesses that rely on the community’s support to keep going. During these tough times they need you now more than ever. So be sure to shop local as often as you can!
TOPS is back
TOPS #1466 in Castanea has begun meeting again. They are now meeting every Monday at the outdoor pavilion of Flemington First Church of Christ on Canal Street. All are welome. Weigh-ins begin at 5 p.m. with a short business meeting to follow at 6 p.m. Call Anna at 570-660-2087 for questions.
Order John Wasserman’s book
The website to order John Wasserman’s book, “Woods Cop” is woodscop.org. It’s a great read from the retired game warden about his 34 years as a local game warden.
