At the Parks

The following events will take place at area state parks. Per CDC guidelines, participants in these programs are asked to wear a mask when attending.

Registrations for any of these events will be taken by calling 570-753-6005, or by going to DCNR’s calendar of events.

LITTLE PINE

— On Friday, Aug. 14 at 1:30 and 3 p.m., at Little Pine State Park, join the park naturalist for a look at the natural history of one of the most sought after game species in Pennsylvania, the “whitetail deer.” Other topics will include the challenge of chronic wasting disease and other challenges facing the deer today. There will also be a craft. This program is designed to be informal. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. This program will be registration only (limited to 24 people), and may be canceled in the event of severe weather. Please make sure to register in a group if more than one person is coming. Meet at Pavilion #3.

This program is designed for families with children, but all are welcome to attend. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. This program will be registration only (limited to 24 people), and may be canceled in the event of severe weather. Please make sure to register in a group if more than one person is coming. Meet at Pavilion #3.
