Back in Business

The following businesses, churches and organizations have let The Express know their status as the green phase reopening continues. If you’d like to add your business or agency to the list, send it to lmuthler@lockhaven.com.

— The Nittany Valley Charge United Church of Christ will begin holding Sunday morning services on Aug. 2, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Jacksonville. The Mt. Bethel & Salona churches will remain closed until further notice.

— Flemington United Church of Christ is holding Sunday services at 11 a.m.

— Caldwell United Methodist, 11376 Coudersport Pike, will hold services at 8:15 a.m. each Sunday. Masks are required to enter the church.

— TOPS #1466 in Castanea has begun meeting again. They are now meeting every Monday at the outdoor pavilion of Flemington First Church of Christ on Canal Street. All are welome. Weigh-ins begin at 5 p.m. with a short business meeting to follow at 6 p.m. Call Anna at 570-660-2087 for questions.

— Nancy Hoover’s Barbershop, formerly Klip Joint, in Flemington is open for business Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays 7:30 a.m. to noon and Saturdays 7:30 to 11 a.m.

–Ed Johns Barber Shop reopened for business by appointment only. Business hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Face mask required. Haircuts only; no beard or goatee trims and no shaves.

–The Partnership office at 212 N. Jay St., Lock Haven, reopened to the public, resuming normal hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. The front lobby, which has informational brochures on the area, maps and dining and lodging information, is open 24/7.

— The Salvation Army Thrift Store located at 111 E. Main St. is now open for business. The new hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Patrons are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. At this time, there are no public restrooms and no fitting rooms. Also, we are not able to accept donations at the store. Patrons are encouraged to drop off donations in our donation bins located at The Salvation Army Church at 119 E. Church St. or at Walker’s Hardware.
