Tarr makes his final journey on Renovo firetruck
It was an emotional Saturday morning throughout the Renovo community as family, friends and volunteer emergency responders from western Clinton County said goodbye to Dan Tarr. Dan joined Citizens Hose Company Station #28 as a 13-year-old and remained a dedicated member for 23 years, right up to his sudden passing a week ago. If not needed at the station, Dan could be found pulling fish out of just about any body of water that he could get his fishing rod and boat into. At one point during Saturday’s ceremonies members of the Citizens Hose Company escorted Dan in their fire trucks one final time across the South Renovo bridge and past his station as the Renovo Fire Department’s ladder truck raised an American Flag.
