The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4298 is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 1:30-6 p.m. in the club’s “Trackside” room, 433 E. Clinton St., Lock Haven. All safety precautions relating to COVID-19 are strictly adhered to at Red Cross Blood Drives. Collected blood will be screened for COVID-19 antibodies.
The St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mill Hall is having its food distribution from 9-11 a.m.on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The church is located at 6220 Nittany Valley Drive in Mill Hall. Those who have a box from a previous distribution are asked to bring them along to be re-used.
Dunnstown Fire Co. NYE raffle
The Dunnstown Fire Company is already prepping to say good-bye to 2020 with a special raffle scheduled for Dec. 31. Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased by contacting the fire company at (570) 748-7808. The raffle will be livestreamed on the fire company’s Facebook page on New Year’s Eve with five prizes starting at $1,000. Second place will win $500; third will win $250; fourth will win $100; and fifth will be $50. Money raised from the event will benefit the fire company.
Shoe Drive Fundraiser
Nittany Greyhounds is holding a Shoe Drive Fundraiser through Sept. 30 to help retired racing greyhounds find forever homes. Bring your gently used and new shoes to the Nittany Greyhounds Kennel, 30 TLD Circle, Port Matilda. The kennel will also pick up shoe donations from groups and individual donors.
