TOPS reopens in Flemington

With the start of Fall and eventual cold weather, TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), will be moving indoors to a Sunday school classroom at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Flemington, on Monday, Sept. 21. Weigh-ins begin from 5 to 6 p.m. with a business meeting from 6 to 7 p.m.

12th District Congressman Fred Keller is currently accepting applicants from qualified young men and women interested in attending a U.S. Military Service Academy. The deadline to submit application materials is Sept. 28. Call the Congressman’s Tunkhannock office at 570-996-6550 with specific questions.

Women’s AA meeting

Women in all 12 steps of the Alcoholics Anonomys program are welcome to meetings held Friday nights at 6 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven.

Gun bingo

The Hands and Feet and Hope Mission has rescheduled its gun raffle bingo from May 30 to Oct. 18 at Flemington First Church of Christ.

Any tickets purchased for the May event will be honored in October.

PA CareerLink is hosting another virtual “Get to Know” information session, this one for Lowe’s in Mill Hall, Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.

The sessions are designed to provide information for anyone seeking employment or wanting to know more about the company.
